With the aim of meeting the requirements of modern building management, our range has grown to more than 5000 products over the years. Our focus is on the needs and interests of our customers, which we meet with high-quality and innovative products. In addition to the switching technology, measurement technology and telematics divisions, we have a wide range of products in the areas of lighting, home automation, installation technology and medical technology. We represent well-known global brands such as NEXANS, METZ CONNECT, TESTBOY and KLAXON / TEXECOM. At the same time, we develop, produce and distribute our own products under the brand names ELBROMATIC, ELBROLIGHT, ELBROLINE, ELBRO ECOLINE, ELBROBUTLER and ITplus®.

The history of ELBRO AG

45 years active on the Swiss market

In 1978, Guido Brogle founded Elbro AG in Steinmaur/Switzerland as a trading company for electrical supplies. From the very beginning, the company has been closely linked to the electrical wholesale trade in Switzerland. It initially supplies products for measurement technology and cable management. Elbro AG constantly focuses on the latest technical requirements of the market and continuously expands its product range over the coming years. Other sectors such as switching technology, lighting, home automation and installation technology are added. In order to meet quality standards, the company is certified to ISO 9001:2015 in 1997.

 After more than 30 years, the company founder retires from business life. He is succeeded by Christof Senk, who takes over Elbro AG in 2009. As the main shareholder, Christof Senk continues to manage the business of Elbro AG and today leads 25 employees. In the following years, the company expands its business areas to international markets and opens the subsidiaries ELBRO Italia Srl. in Milan/Italy and ELBRO Electrical South Africa Pty. LTD. in Cape Town/South Africa in 2012. The product range is expanded and supplemented with another Medi-Technology product line. In 2019, the team moves into new business premises in Bülach, just a few kilometers away. When it was announced in 2020 that the long-standing partner for time switch technology, Grässlin GmbH from St. Georgen/Germany, was discontinuing its business operations, Elbro AG acquired the trademark rights for the Grässlin name and individual product groups for Switzerland. With the acquisition of the Grässlin brand rights, Elbro AG intends to further advance product development in the field of time switch technology and strengthen its position in the electrical wholesale trade.
